Dingli Cliffs

In the southwest of Malta are the Dingli Cliffs, one of the best places in Malta to enjoy the sunset and incredible views of the Mediterranean.

One of Malta's best natural attractions is the Dingli Cliffs in the southwest of the island. It's a natural bastion that rises more than 250 metres (820 feet) above sea level and offers incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea.

The rocky, bushy landscape surrounding the cliffs is peaceful and intimate, making it a great place to enjoy the natural scenery that Malta's geography has to offer. Many walking routes pass along the cliffs and lead to the Blue Grotto.

At the top of the cliffs stands the Saint Mary Magdalene Chapel, the only building visible in this natural setting, built in the 17th century.

Better from the sea

Although the natural setting of the Dingli Cliffs is beautiful in itself, we think the best way to see the rock formations is to view the cliffs from the sea. The best option is to go on an excursion that includes a boat trip around the area.

If you want to take the opportunity to visit the nearby town of Mdina, you can book our excursion to Mdina and Dingli Cliffs for only 31 (US$ 33.40)!
